As Beth Israel President Dr. Harris Nagler and his wife, Freema, greeted guests at the 2011 Second Century Ball, the warmth among colleagues in whose hands lives are held was evident. The 2011 event, which honored Lawrence S. Huntington, Chairman Emeritus and Trustee of Continuum Health Partners and former President and CEO of the Fiduciary Trust Company International, was attended by over 1000 guests who gathered to celebrate at the Waldorf Astoria in New York. The evening raised more than $2 million.

Lawrence S. Huntington has worked with CHP and its predecessors for over four decades.  His work has been integral to the building of the CHP Partnership. Said current Board Chairman Steven Hochberg “Larry Huntington’s wisdom and guidance is woven into the very fabric that the Continuum Hospital network is made of.  He is a rich part of its history and has helped shape its future.”

Continuum Health Partners, Inc., a partnership formed in 1997 among Beth Israel Medical Center, St. Luke’s Hospital, and Roosevelt Hospital is a major source of integrated health services in the New York City metropolitan region. The addition of The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary to the Partnership in 1999 further enhanced the group’s resources.

Trustee Morgan Miller and his wife, Marjorie, chaired the 2011 event.
