As reported in The Algemeiner earlier this week, Madonna will begin her next world tour in Israel.
Now, Madonna’s Israeli fans have gone political. On a newly established Facebook page set up by the international star’s Israeli fans, members have asked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to wait for war with Iran. Specifically, wait until after Madonna performs in Israel on May 29th.
“Bibi don’t start a war with Iran until after Madonna’s show on May 29,” reads the name of the group page.
Past cancellations of music concerts in Israel include the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2001, during the second Intifada; The Pixies in 2010 following the Gaza flotilla incident; and the British electronic band Depeche Mode during the second Lebanon War in 2006.
