WSJ – KABUL—Afghan President Hamid Karzai renewed his criticism of the U.S. over its handling of a village massacre, accusing the U.S. of blocking an Afghan investigation and rejecting the claim that a single soldier was responsible.
But the Afghan leader also issued a joint statement with President Barack Obama on Friday that he was open to discussions about his surprise demand that the U.S.-led coalition pull its forces out of villages and return to bases.
