An Israeli company based in Jerusalem, Funtactix, has released the official online game for the Hunger Games movie. The Hunger Games Adventures, is the latest in a series of social games developed by Funtactix to accompany Hollywood movies.

According to CEO Sam Glassenberg, Funtactix “… is the only company in the world building social games like these tied to movies”.  Previous gaming releases include designs for the Rango and Mission Impossible movies.

The Hunger Game Adventures is currently available by invitation only and “was formally premiered on Facebook to coincide with the movie’s Friday midnight opening in the US.” Players of the game will be among the first to receive an official map of Panem, a bleak post-apocalyptic America depicted in the movie and game.
