NY Daily News – Mitt Romney wants to be the $800 million man.
Romney and the Republican National Committee have set that ambitious fund-raising goal in their battle with President Obama, whom they fear could have $1 billion at his back.
To reach the lofty mark, Romney’s team will target top Republican bundlers — well-connected fund-raising intermediaries — who either sat out the primary season or supported another candidate, according to a GOP strategy memo released Tuesday.
