Public Hospital System Reaches Settlement Over Shabbat Discrimination

NY Daily News – ALBANY — The city’s public hospital system reached a settlement with the state Attorney General over discrimination complaints from nurses who say they were barred from taking time off to observe the Sabbath.

The settlement calls for each city hospital to adopt formal religious accommodation policies, in keeping with state law.
