JPost – US officials said that Syria has started to move part of its chemical weapons arsenal out of storage facilities, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday.
The country’s undeclared stockpiles of sarin nerve agent, mustard gas and cyanide have long worried US officials and their allies in the region, the report said.

This is the setup for the next round of Israeli surrender as Yatom “suggests” great threats which will put the Israeli people on edge and then the next step will be to get everyone back into “secure rooms” and distribute gas masks as a means of breaking the spirit of Israelis so that the Israeli government can surrender the Golan Heights.
This is a replay of 1990/91 when Israelis were told by their own government that Iraq was about to launch a massive chemical attack – it turned out to be bogus, but the Israeli government succeeded in using the psychological defeat and humiliation of being attacked without the option to respond as the opportunity to take Israel to the first official surrender conference in Madrid. The Israeli government has been negotiating for years to surrender the Golan, the US government wants it and, of course, Syria wants it. That only leaves intimidating the Israeli population, Jewish and Druze, into acquiescence.

This is indeed what Saddam Hussein did. There is credible evidence to suggest that the same WMD that Hussein had were smuggled into Syria when things started caving in on him him Iraq. Given all of the players in Syria and the increasing instability, this becomes an important strategic issue even if the stashes are hit while still in place. If they are moved to outlying areas, it becomes even more dangerous for all.
