Israel Rejects BBC Change to Olympics Listing (PHOTO)

In a letter to a BBC viewer who complained about the network’s omission of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital on a list of countries scheduled to participate in this summer’s Olympic games, the British broadcaster says it chose to amend their list, in part, due to “online lobby activity”.
After listing Palestine’s capital as East Jerusalem, and leaving blank the space where Israel’s capital was supposed to be placed, the BBC changed their list to note Jerusalem as Israel’s “seat of government”, while informing readers that Tel Aviv is where most embassies operating inside Israel are located.
Responding to a viewer’s complaint about Israel receiving unfair treatment by the British outlet, the BBC responded in a letter.
“We feel it is worth explaining that a considerable number of complaints have been generated by online lobby activity,” the letter, which was uncovered by a blog called Guido Fawkes, reads. The broadcaster is being asked to identify which “online lobby” they’re referring to.
The outlet’s omission of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and their amendment thereafter, led to a statement from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s spokesman, notifying the BBC of the government’s ongoing concern.
“Unlike all other countries listed,” he wrote, “in Israel’s case, our capital Jerusalem is not classified by the BBC as such but rather as a ‘Seat of Government.’”
Although Palestine is not an internationally recognized state, Palestinian athletes will be competing at this summer’s games.
Judoka Maher Abu Remeleh became the first Palestinian athlete to qualify for this year’s Olympics, which begin on July 27th. His coach, Hani Halabi, called Remeleh’s qualification “the greatest achievement in the history of Palestinian sports”.

I am surprised the BBC didn’t call it, “Al-Quds” as does the Obama Administration. Ironic, that Great Britain was the author of the Balfour Declaration and signatory to the 1948 Mandate. A couple of pieces of history they would like to forget since they have been been invaded and conquered?

Well, I might agree with you, except you’ve got that horse thing all wrong: Namely, so-called “Arabian” horses are just about the BEST form of life that’s ever descended from the Arabian penninsula!! Forget the camel jockeys – they’re all a pathetic lot and obviously a mutation that G-d forgot to self-destruct (as in non-survival of the non-fittest!).
Ah, but those magnificent horses, the progenitor of thorougbreds that provide the “stars” of what is rightly known as the Sport of Kings! They’re simply beautiful animals and race with elegance and speed that’s outmatched only by cheetahs and a few other very fast breeds!

Hi, Joy. I love the horses with Arabian blood: at least twelve generations of my Greek ancestors held the race horses of pure Arabian blood, including my great grandfather, whose estate in Ukraine before 1917 revolution had 12–stable barn especially for Arabian stallions. My point is islamization of the UK, therefore, destruction of the state that is a part of the Western civilization. Could it be the consequence of corruption (and consequently degeneration) of the kings who multiplied horses, as Moses warned in Deuteronomy 17:16, and not only a new wave of traditional European anti-Semitism?
From my history studies, I learned that the Holy Scriptures define all patterns of survival and collapse of all nations, especially those that pretend to live by the religion that has The Ten Commandments as the main law {Matthew 22:36–40}. Anti–Semitism as the violation of the second main commandment (love to the neighbor) has the most devastating effect on those who are not afraid to hold hatred to the nation chosen by God.
