The Rape of Christopher Stevens

The depiction of the Prophet Muhammad in "Innocence of Muslims," a film that sparked attacks at three U.S. embassies in the Middle East. Photo: YouTube.

By obsessing over the 14-minute YouTube Muhammad video and its maker, the mainstream media ultimately exonerates the inexcusable and murderous response of the Islamic world.

There is only one question: did those who make this movie break any law? No, they did not—and so the matter should end there, and the media should move on. Focusing on those who did not break any American laws as a way to take the focus off those who murdered and initiated an act of war against the United States is not only misleading; it validates and gives Islamic blasphemy laws precedence over American freedoms.

Worse, even if making movies deemed offensive to Muslims was illegal in the U.S., the fact is, these embassy attacks, which “coincidentally” began on September 11, have nothing to do with the movie. On September 10, I wrote an article titled “Jihadis Threaten to Burn U.S. Embassy in Cairo.” The demand that the U.S. release its imprisoned jihadis, including the Blind Sheikh, was behind these threats. There was no mention of “offensive movies.” My source, El Fagr, an Arabic website, reported all this on September 8.

In other words, several days before Muslims were angry about this movie they were threatening to burn down the U.S. embassy in Cairo. I had even seen sporadic Arabic reports, from months back, talking about “extremist elements” threatening the embassy. The movie is just a pretext—aided and abetted by the media, not to mention the Obama administration: Hillary Clinton called the video “disgusting and reprehensible,” wording which is more befitting those who murdered (and possibly raped, see below) Americans; the U.S. embassy itself apologized for those who “hurt the religious feelings of Muslims“; and the administration asked YouTube to remove the 14 minute trailer.

Thus the U.S. administration validates Islam’s blasphemy laws and, once again, aligns itself with America’s jihadi enemies.

Seventy-year-old, retiring Sen. Jon Kyl (R-AZ) put it well, when he suggested that the administration’s response to the embassy attacks was akin to a court asking a rape victim for an apology, saying: “It’s like the judge telling the woman who got raped, ‘You asked for it because of the way you dressed.’”

Nor is the rape entirely allegorical. According to the Arabic website Tayyar, “the American ambassador in Libya [Christopher Stevens] was sexually raped before being killed by the gunmen who stormed the embassy building in Benghazi last night [Tuesday, September 11], in protestation of a film insulting to the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings upon him.”

Sexual abuse and degradation is a common tactic used against non-Muslims, especially women, as the repeatedly raped Lara Logan found. For example, a report in Arabic media that just appeared discusses how Christian women—identified by wearing crosses around their necks or simply not wearing a hijab—are subject to sexual harassment, verbal abuse, and even threats of rape on the streets of Egypt. This has only “become much more blatant and terrifying [after the embassy attacks]—and has even reached the point of threats of genocide and purging the land of Egypt of infidel Christians,” writes one female Christian in Egypt.

Nor are men immune from such rapes. In fact, the photos of Ambassador Stevens—stripped of clothes, bloodied and tortured right before he was killed—very much resemble the photos of Gaddafi right before he was killed. One U.S.-supported “freedom-fighter,” for example, can be seen sodomizing Gadaffi with a rod as others dragged him along.

The al-Qaeda affiliated men who sexually abused and killed Gaddafi are the same sort of men who sexually abused and killed America’s ambassador. We were told that the late Libyan dictator was killed because he was an evil oppressor of his people. Why was the American ambassador killed, who had hailed the revolution and was there helping to “build a better Libya“?

These are the questions the media and the Obama administration need to be answering—not obsessing over a second-rate YouTube video and questioning hard-won American freedoms enshrined in the First Amendment. They should be explaining why it is that, after four years of appeasing the Islamic world in ways unprecedented, including by helping oust America’s longstanding allies like Egypt’s Mubarak to empower Islamists, all we have to show for it are dead and violated Americans, stormed embassies, burned U.S. flags, and greater anti-American sentiment than ever before.

  • Cross-Border Authority.
We’ve heard very little about this presidential directive and so far I have only heard it from one source – former Navy SEAL Matt Bracken. Only the POTUS is authorized to give the authority for our military to cross an international border on a hostile mission. The real question is where was the POTUS when the military was asking/begging him for CBA to effect a rescue of the Benghazi compound from non-Libyan bases.

This is one of the dirtiest articles ever published in a so-called civilized Jewish journalism product.
    Shameless and perverse

    • Dear Robert-
I would sincerely appreciate a response. I am very new to this whole “thing” (I suppose they would call it “The Controversial Truth”? I do not know, for sure, whether or not it is “the truth”…. but I do know that, whatever the case may be, I very much would like to find out exactly what “the case” truly and directly IS…..
If you have documentation to “prove/disprove” any or all of what you can find on the internet, I beseech to you to share it with me. PLEASE! This has eaten away at my soul. I know the family…. and it has been a complete nightmare on their behalf.
      Sincerely, Angie O.

  • The facts of Ambassador Stevens murder are unclear, but why are his pants on backwards and his belt undone? I suspect he didn’t put them on that way? So why were they taken off and put back on again? I find the accusation that he was sexually abused more credible than the story that “friendly” natives helped him to the hospital.

  • My Husband is a minister, the day after Ambassador Stevens was killed he was searching middle eastern news sites, he ended up coming across the video of Ambassador Stevens beating and rape. Had we not been so horrified perhaps we could have retained more proof. I do have screen shots of the page proving there was a video of the rape that youtube removed. I can easily provide enough proof to back up every other word this author says too.

    • Hi, there-I read your comment…. and could not help but respond. Being that you are a minister’s wife, I assume you are bound by a moral responsibility that most folks do not recognize. I wanted to ask you, sincerely, if you truly knew what you were looking at (no, I am definitely NOT a “naysayer”… just someone who is desperate to hear the truth) I have always ALWAYS been wary of Obama, and his “magical” promises. Now? I am even MORESO. I would truly appreciate a reply. It would give me peace to know one way or another what you believe transpired on that fateful day. That poor, POOR man. Regardless of how he died, he died serving HUMANITY. I just can’t understand why someone would see that and misconstrue it as aggressive and adversarial.
Thank you, again. I would so appreciate some sort of response. This has become quite important to me…
Sincerely and Respectively Yours, Angie O.

  • In order to fight & defeat our enemy, we must first come to know him and how he thinks. see (Jihad: The forgotten obligation) it will blow your mind (68 pgs on the how too’s of Jihad) also: Rapes by Moslem Troops pg 4..(W.H.T. Gairdner’s “Mohammed without Camouflage: Ecce Homo..Arabicus Written in 1917, during WWI almost 100 yrs ago, He starts off with ISLAMIC REVIEW–the monthly organ of the Woking cult..parag 3 “Nay, we have often enough done so. For,prate, our detractors as they will, we believe and dare to assert that the sketches or biographies of Mohammed which have shown most seriousness, most sympathetic insight and most concern of all aspects of the subject matter are some by Christian missionaries or missionary supporters. The secular Christian writers are too worldly, often too scornful: they miss the mark by trying to treat secularly of what was fundamentally religious”…Gairdner wrote this almost 100 yrs ago..things haven’t changed much.. (key words: what was fundamentally religious..so, what is it now?

    • Many of us know the muslim enemy very well–we identified him long ago. We have not been listened to, and indeed even now after the embassy burning almost the entire North American media still villefy anyone who criticises the murderous cult of islam.

I have asked contacts in England, Norway and Germany if they intend to walk to the nearest mosque and say to the inbred, murderous rabble: “Here are the keys to our city, our country, you are our rulers now”, the answer is always “No, we won’t do that”, really? So they (and we) intend to make a stand. WHEN?

  • Our Sages teach that…

    אין זנות כזנות ישמעאל

“There is no promiscuity like the promiscuity of Yishmael.”

This is their mentality. This is how they operate, whether with men or women, using sticks or various parts of the human body.

Just read the Bible, or study the Talmudim. It’s all there. So, there shouldn’t be any surprises by what you see in the news.

    • So true. So true.

they go to war on the promise to rape the women they will catch.

during the war of idependence they were told again and again that they will have a chance to rape the women of Tel Aviv.

      the 72 in their heaven?

The idea is to rape them again and again.

This is what Muhammad gave them, this what they are.

  • If Obama is not voted out of office America will be gone forever. You people had better wake up. Fast!

  • Being angry over the murder of the US Ambassador in Libya and seeking to avenge his murder is the best way to honor Chris Stevens. Showing these animals that we are not going to cower to their brand of terror is the ONLY reasonable and legitimate response our president should be making. Hussein Barack Obama is not only inept he is downright dangerous for our country.

  • Jennifer Saouadi

RAYMOND!!!! You are not helping the situation!!!! Do you have some sort of proof to support your article? If not, Please STOP!!!!

  • Obama is the voice of reason in an unreasonable world. Look at him on the talk show, he is cool and calm as he shows how understanding he is of both sides, this is just a little blip on his foreign policey. Afterall he is on a talk show and we can really learn what he thinks. The pics of our ambassador being dragged bruised and probably dead are not believable . The pics ,where the ambassador legs can be seen while being “rescued” are believable. This is what our administration is claiming and their news media is pushing. Two faced to our allies and two faced to our citizens . If it is true that the ambassador was raped and tortured and Obama is trying to cover it up he should be impeached.

  • OBAMA, BRAIN DEAD MINNOW. What is it communism or marxism? You really do hate America.

  • Later news reports update that Christopher Stevens died from smoke inhalation. Some found him barely alive in a room without his security. They picked him up and carried him to a hospital where a doctor tried to revive Stevens for over an hour. It is unlikely he was raped, IMO, as he was fully clothed and also was not bloody looking. He does have dark smudges around his nose and mouth, which supports the smoke inhalation cause of death.

    • Then what are the pics that clearly show him inured and being dragged. The pics of his “rescue”are impossible to see. Just a blip in the Obama foreign policy , or so it seems when a cool calm president speaks on a talk show as if this was just a minor offense against the US. Obama the voice of reasoning in unreasonable world. I feel so safe.this administration is two faced with our allies and with their own citizens.

    • Janet Clare

He died of “extreme asphixiation” said the doctor, probably caused by smoke inhilation. Well isn’t it easy enough to tell if it was by smoke inhilation? Why wasn’t smoke blamed in the death report. Why wasn’t it proven via an autopsy? Other things can cause asphixiation, like having the throat sttuffed up.

  • I feel all that so far has resulted from this crime is extreme hatred instead of a country stopping to remember our ambassador, Christopher Stevens and others who represented America in a foreign land.
Better that we should call for a day of mourning across our country by lowering our flags and taking time for prayers for the dead and, yes, for those who committed this horrendous crime. The ambassador should be always remembered as a hero of this country. We are ALL created by God in his image and whether we believe it or not, He is the one who will judge righteously.

    • AND TO THINK THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO STILL WILL VOTE FOR OBAMA WHO IS AN EMBARRASSEMENT TO OUR COUNTRY! AFTER THE AMBASSADOR WAS KILLED HE WENT TO LAS VEGAS TO CAMPAIGN. HE DISGUSTS ME AND ANYONE WHO VOTES FOR HIM HAS LOST THEIR MINDS. OPEN YOUR EYES AMERICA AND SEE THIS MAN FOR WHO HE REALLY IS. DEEP DOWN HE HATES AMERICA TOO!

    • I say mourn by dropping a HUGE bomb and showing the USA is not Obama wimp. They killed our ambassador because they lost fear from us. Put the fear back. Kill the sons a bitches.

      • Our Ambassador was murdered on sovereign soil. We were fed stories about a film while the truth was hidden. How and Why must be demanded and IF, the Ambassador was physically abused and tortured. We must DEMAND answers and not sit quiet. I can imagine any other inept president who thinks he is clever enough to lie and get away with it. This country Must wake up to see how far we have strayed from the country we once were. Trust, Respect, Fear…were words once associated with America…now, only weakness…giving invitation for those against our way of life to over-run us…shall we wait for more stories????

      • Ann, I agree, only fear is understood….weakness is an invitation from cowards.

JNS.org – “This is how I want to be—without fear. Independent. I want to be like a bird. I want to spread my wings.” So reads part of the description beneath one of the 30 paintings on display until the end of May at the ZOA House in Tel Aviv. The collection represents the first-ever art exhibit of its kind: an exhibit created entirely by Israelis in treatment for eating disorders. Dubbed “Tears of Color,” based on one of the [...]

Overprotective or Loving? Daughters Reflect on Jewish Mothers in New Anthology

JNS.org – Rachel Ament noticed that she and her friends often shared humorous anecdotes that were typically variations on a theme: overprotective, worrying Jewish moms who smothered them with love. That included Ament’s own mother. “My mom is probably every Jewish stereotype scrunched into one,” the Washington, DC, resident tells JNS.org. “At the root of all these stereotypical, worrying, overprotective moms, is love.” A social media writer for Capital One, as well as a freelance writer, Ament decided about three years [...]

‎Kosher Lust: Love is Not the Answer (REVIEW)

Kosher Lust, by Shmuley Boteach (Gefen Publishing House, 2014). You really do want to find something positive to say about Shmuley Boteach. He is a phenomenon; very bright, an articulate bundle of energy and self-promotion. Anyone who has the chutzpah to describe himself as “America’s Rabbi” deserves ten out of ten for effort. I believe that along with most Chabad alumni, official and unofficial, he does a lot of good and is a sort of national treasure. In this world [...]

JNS.org – In a throwback to the golden age of cinema, Hollywood has declared 2014 the “Year of the Bible.” From Ridley Scott’s Exodus starring Christian Bale as Moses, to Russell Crowe playing Noah, Hollywood is gambling on new innovations in technology and star power to revisit some of the most popular stories ever told. “It’s definitely a throwback to the 1950s and early ’60s,” Dr. Stephen J. Arbus met Carmel, who was billed “The World’s Tallest Man,” at Hubert’s Dime Museum and Flea Circus in 1959 but waited until 1970 to photograph him at his parents’ home in the Bronx, according to the museum. The son of immigrants from Tel Aviv, Carmel posed for Arbus with his head bowed to [...]

JNS.org – Has the era of large-scale biblical epics returned?
