Screen-grab of the Drudge headline.

Premier anti-Semite, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has arrived in New York City to address the 67th session of the United Nations General assembly, and according to a “source” referenced by the Drudge Report, pulled a fast one with his lodging plans.

For months, activist groups have lobbied and protested against Manhattan’s posh Warwick Hotel located on 6th Avenue and 54th Street which hosted Ahmadinejad last year and was believed to be playing host to the President this year as well.  Additionally, a lawsuit was filed against the hotel on behalf of a terror victim who has a $12 million dollar judgement against the Iranian government. A judge subsequently rejected the claim.

Activist group, UANI, (United Against a Nuclear Iran) plans a protest outside the Warwick on Monday at 2pm, the announcement for the event reads, “The demonstration will take place outside the Warwick, at 2:00 PM, and will feature signs, props, chants, and an activity center open to public participation.”

Tonight, consecutive headlines on the Drudge Report announced, “Ahmadinejad arrives in NYC…” followed by “SOURCE: Staying at Hilton hotel; Becomes ‘mini-fortress of NYPD and Secret Service personnel’…” the link leads to the website of the Hilton Manhattan East located on 42nd Street and 2nd Avenue.

The Hotel has a history with the Iranians, as Ahmadinejad stayed there back in 2010.

When reached on the phone by The Algemeiner, a Hilton staff member denied that the Iranian President was staying at the hotel “no,” he said when asked, “that was three years ago.”

A staff member at the Warwick New York hotel declined to comment on the matter when reached on the phone by The Algemeiner.

UPDATE: Hours after posting it, the Drudge Report removed the claim that Ahmadinejad was staying at the Hilton, which remains unconfirmed, from its website. Eyewitnesses reported seeing the Iranian President’s motorcade at the Warwick hotel.
