Israel’s State Archive Releases Golda Meir’s Chicken Soup Recipe
Jewish mothers and chicken soup with matzo balls are nearly synonymous with one another. So since Golda Meir was sort of the mother of Israel for a time, it only makes sense that she would have had a mean chicken soup recipe.
The Israel State Archives blog released the recipe over the weekend, a recipe that at one point was being considered by Koor Industries for mass production.
Fortunately that didn’t happen, but with a little effort we can now all decide for ourselves just how tasty the dish is.
An image of the recipe is posted below:

Well, the matza ball recipe is a bit strange. And Mrs. Meir’s soup recipe is lacking the dill weed. It just isn’t the real thing without the dill weed. Just saying.

And, just like Golda, it’s sure to be completely unprepared.

I can’t wait to show my mom this. Actually, she makes something quite similar.
