IDF soldiers fired warning shots as several Palestinian Arabs approached the border with Gaza Sunday night. An IDF spokesman told The Algemeiner that no injuries were caused by IDF fire during the incident.
An IDF statement said that the soldiers had called on the Arabs to back away and return to Gaza. When the Arabs ignored the calls, the soldiers fired into the air.
Earlier in the night two Gaza residents breached the border fence near Kissufim. The IDF said that they were unarmed and were turned over to security services.
Also Sunday, for the first time in more than a month a rocket was fired from Gaza at Israel. The Kassam rocket fell short, landing in the Gaza Strip, causing no injuries or damage, the IDF Spokesman’s Office said.
