Ismail Haniyeh told representatives from Egypt, Tunisia and Qatar that Israel is “a tumor that must be uprooted,” according to Israel’s Channel 10. The Hamas terror chief, speaking at an education conference, also told the assembled group that they must raise a generation to fight and liberate the Palestinians Arabs.

Recent statements from Hamas leaders have indicated that the terror group is developing a strategy to seize power in the West Bank. Reconciliation efforts have been underway between the Palestinian Authority and Hamas since the UN upgraded the former’s status at the end of November.

A poll released last week indicated that many Palestinian Arabs would support an Haniyeh-run government over one lead by current PA President Mahmoud Abbas.
