This will be the major theme as well as Iran’s desire to have a naval port alternative to the Syrain port of Latakia shouls Assad falls.
Egypt has seven naval ports -each with a different significance politically and strategically.
Alexandria-Egypts second largest city,Suez and Port Said at the ends of the Suez Canal, and Hurghada near the Strait of Tiran and the Gulf of Aqaba are the most important.Which of them Egypt may offer-if any-will show the long term strategic view of Egypt.
Naval visits, port useage or permanent base could all be part of an equation in “liberating” Irans Sunni Arabs.
