Palestinians protest against construction of a four lane highway being built through the village of Beit Safafa, Jerusalem, February 26, 2013. The road is being constructed on privately owned land which was designated for building houses for the local residents of the densely populated town, and is being built despite their objections.
The road will connect the various Jewish settlements in the Hebron area to Jerusalem and is part of an ongoing campaign to isolate and surround the Palestinian neighborhoods of Jerusalem with Jewish settlements. Photo by Yonatan Sindel/Flash90
