Senate Intelligence Committee Advances Brennan

Politico – Breaking a delay to push the White House for more information, the Senate Intelligence Committee voted 12-3 on Tuesday to advance John Brennan’s nomination to become CIA director.

His nomination now goes before the full Senate, although it wasn’t immediately clear when it might act. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has said he hopes for a vote by the end of the week, but other members have said they might try to hold it up in order to get more disclosures from the Obama administration.
