It was a big year for Hadassah, one of the world’s largest Zionist organizations, in 2012. It not only celebrated its centennial, but it welcomed Weinman as its new CEO only a few months beforehand. At the October anniversary celebrations, two major philanthropic projects were announced by the women’s Zionist group: a new tower and a new cardiovascular wellness center at its Jerusalem hospitals. Every year most of the organization’s $100 million budget goes to Israel, a fact that has remained unchanged for 100 years.
