Joseph Hyman
Philanthropy
Hyman has been involved with Jewish philanthropy for nearly two decades, and his Center for Entrepreneurial Jewish Philanthropy is indicative of that commitment. CEJP offers philanthropists cutting edge advice on how best to place and leverage their money, it’s what one person has coined an “investment bank for philanthropy,” and to date has surpassed $67 million in total philanthropic giving and matches. In total, 83 organizations/ projects have been supported by philanthropists and foundations that CEJP advises, including 61 that have received at least $100,000 and 26 who have received over $500,000. Hyman’s vision has been remarkable, and as one journalist put it, he is “changing the face of charity.”
