Sheldon Adelson
Philanthropist
Love or hate his politics, Adelson puts his money where his mouth is. And that mouth advocates on behalf of Jews and Israel. Adelson has made major multi-million dollar donations to The Adelson Educational Campus, Yad Vashem, Birthright Israel and The Adelson Program in Neural Repair and Rehabilitation. In 2012 he spent upwards of $100 million on Republican U.S. Presidential candidate Mitt Romney, in part because he viewed Romney as friendlier towards Israel.
