Stav Shaffir

Activist, Knesset member

At only 27, Shaffir became the youngest member of the Knesset when she earned a seat as a member of the Labor Party in Israel’s most recent elections. Not that she was new to the political arena: in 2012 Shaffir’s profile took off, as she helped organize a series of demonstrations, including the massive “march of the millions,” that brought attention to the need for cheaperhousing and food products in Israel. Shaffir can also boast of an accomplished career working in Israeli media, having written for Israeli publications Yediot Ahronot and Mako.
