Al Sharpton and the Lynching of George Zimmerman

George Zimmerman, accused of 2nd-degree murder. I wonder why we never saw pictures like this in the media?

As jury selection continues in the trial of George Zimmerman for what are obviously trumped up charges of second degree murder, let us focus on the malevolent undercurrents that are animating this drama. One might be tempted to call the entire affair a miscarriage of justice but in using that metaphor we would be guilty of understatement. More appropriate: A Kermit Gosnell style late-term murder/abortion of justice.

After the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman was released by the Sanford Police. Why? For the obvious reason that his claim of self-defense was perfectly reasonable and there was no probable cause to charge him with anything at all. There was an eye-witness to the altercation between Martin and Zimmerman which clearly supported Zimmerman’s story. Although you will never hear this mentioned on MSNBC nor see it in CNN’s recent “Trayvon Martin Shooting Fast Facts” here is a verbatim transcript of this eye-witness’ testimony taken by police on Feb. 26, 2012, within hours of the incident while the details were still fresh in his mind:

” So I opened my door, there was a black man with a black hoodie on top of either a white guy or now that I found out, I think he was an Hispanic guy with a red sweatshirt on, on the ground yelling out help, umm, and then you know I tried to tell him you know, get out of here you know, stop or whatever, and then the one guy on top in the black hoodie was pretty much just throwing down blows on the guy kinda MMA [Mixed Martial Arts] style.. [short unintelligible question by interviewer and unintelligible  response] on the concrete at this point. So at this point I told’em I was calling 911, I locked my door, went inside, heard a pop, never heard a gunshot before so I didn’t know if it was a rock or something like that, we ran upstairs. Soon as I got upstairs I looked down below and I then saw the guy in the hoodie pretty much just laid out on the ground with the guy in the red shirt just standing up cause there was two people with flashlights and he was pretty much just you know saying,  hey I put the gun down I’m guessing, you know here, I’m here, and that’s when the lady on the phone with 911 pretty much said there was four more calls coming in.

Trayvon Martin - We saw plenty of pictures like this.....

Interviewer: The person calling for help, would that have been the person underneath?

Answer: “Yes, that was the one getting beat up and he was the one with the red sweater on”

Interviewer: Ok, and the one that was shot was the one that was on top of the person getting beat up?

Answer: “Correct, Correct, so I’m guessing you know maybe he was yelling out help because he didn’t want it to come to that point and then it came to that point where he was on the concrete and if you ever got hit on the concrete it hurts”

Interviewer: Did you recognize either one of these individuals?

Answer: No, that’s the bad thing, I just saw the color of the outfits

Trayvon Martin - ....but not like this!

The pictures of George Zimmerman taken by the police that night confirm he was wearing a red jacket and Trayvon Martin was wearing a black hoodie. Zimmerman had a bloody, broken nose – from the picture it is obvious that he took a pounding from someone – and bloody lacerations on the back of his head, consistent with having his head slammed on the concrete. Although most published pictures of Trayvon Martin show a cute little boy, in fact he was a muscular 17 year-old, standing over 6 feet tall, weighing around 160 pounds and perfectly capable of administering a beating to Zimmerman if he chose to. There is zero evidence that Zimmerman had ever exhibited racist attitudes in the past and there is nothing to indicate racially motivated behavior on the night in question. On the contrary, black neighbors sang his praises. In short, there is no reason at all to suspect racism on the part of George Zimmerman while the facts on the ground corroborate the testimony of both Zimmerman and the only eye-witness.

Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz  (who identifies as a liberal), has expressed understandable outrage at the seriousness of the charge based on such flimsy – and perhaps non-existent – evidence. Why then is George Zimmerman being charged with 2nd degree murder? The lesson to be learned from Jim Crow and racial oppression is that justice is justice and truth is truth no matter what color the alleged victim or perpetrator. Many blacks and liberal whites who bend over backwards to show how “black” they are, seem to feel that the lesson learned is: It’s fine to lynch, as long as it’s a white man accused of shooting a black man.

George Zimmerman, the night of the shooting. Note the red jacket as described by the eye-witness. He clearly took a beating from someone.

George Zimmerman is being sacrificed on the altar of the liberal/progressive gospel. That gospel states that white racism is among the most powerful forces driving events in the United States of America. If there is excessive unemployment in the black community, the cause is always white racism. If black students are failing in school, the cause is always white racism. If a black man is killed by a white man or policeman, the cause is always white racism. If the black community is rife with drugs, prostitution, street gangs, out of wedlock children, and men who refuse to take responsibility for the women they impregnate and the children they sire, the cause is always white racism. Facts – for example: the one thing a young black man must actually fear more than anything else in this country is being murdered by another young black man – are irrelevant, as are reason and logic. The inherent irrationality within this gospel is evidenced by the accusation, that demanding proof of identity before voting is also motivated by white racism (is it racist to require an ID before boarding an airplane?).

Lacerations on the back of George Zimmmerman's head the night of the shooting. Fully consistent with the eye-witness testimony that his head was slammed into the concrete by his attacker.

President Barack Obama even felt comfortable throwing some gasoline on the “cross-burning” with his comment: “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon.” The bittersweet irony is, of course, that this is not really true. If the Obama’s had a son and the skin pigmentation genes had been inherited from President Obama’s mother, he would resemble George Zimmerman (or me for that matter), much more than Trayvon Martin. What if the Obama’s actually did have a white son? Would the President have said: “Well, my son could have looked like Trayvon?”

My purpose here is not to discuss why this “big lie” is being propagated – for those interested, see Louisiana State Senator Elbert Guillory’s refreshingly coherent exposition on that subject – my purpose is to point out the injustice that is being perpetrated in its name.

The individual who stands out head and shoulders in the promotion of this corrupt agenda is a vulgar excuse for a human being called Al Sharpton. This man is a parasite who engorges and enriches himself on the fears, prejudices, and rage of others. When the prejudices and rage are not bubbling on the surface, Sharpton will use any opportunity to whip it into a boiling frenzy. His track record speaks for itself. He has encouraged black lynch mobs in the Tawana Brawley affair, the Crown Heights riots in 1991, and was responsible for inciting arson and the ensuing murders of seven employees – among them a black security guard named Kareem Brunner – of a store called “The Record Shack” in Harlem in 1995.

A young Jewish boy and his father after being beaten by a black mob in the 1991 Crown Heights riots.

Authorities are justifiably terrified that Sharpton’s incitement will precipitate riots if George Zimmerman is released or found not guilty. After a traffic accident in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn (8/19/91) tragically took the life of seven year old Gavin Cato, segments of the black community – urged on by Sharpton and others – rioted like packs of wild animals terrorizing the Hassidic Jewish community. Actually, I apologize for the comparison to wild animals. That would be an insult to the wild animals. Animals act exactly according to the instincts with which God has endowed them and they are blameless. Those who joined the mob were lower than animals. The 1991 riots in Los Angeles after the acquittal of policemen in the Rodney King case were so deadly and vicious that one black woman remarked, “I’m ashamed of my people.”

Fear, rage, violence, and demagoguery are staples of Sharpton’s diet. If Zimmerman is acquitted Sharpton will again have the opportunity to call endless press conferences and lead the incendiary chanting of “No Justice, No Peace.” Let us pray for true justice. Justice for George Zimmerman without fear of black/white-liberal lynch mobs and that justice be meted out to corrupt charlatans like Al Sharpton.
