Rockets Fired From Southern Lebanon Strike Israel

Sirens were heard throughout the Galilee this afternoon, as four rockets were fired from Lebanon into Northern Israel in the Nahariya area. One rocket was intercepted by the “Iron Dome” anti-rocket system. According to the Israeli government, “two other rockets landed in populated areas causing damage, but no injuries.” Additionally, a few civilians suffering from shock were admitted to hospitals.
Reports from Lebanon indicate that the Israeli Air Force has already retaliated.
Civilians in the north were instructed to stay close to their designated shielded areas, and the region has elevated its level of alertness to the highest level.
The Haifa airport has been shut down by the IDF, and events scheduled for this evening in the north have been cancelled.
No terrorist organization has taken responsibility yet, but a government statement said “the IDF holds the Government of Lebanon and the Lebanese Armed Forces as the responsible bodies for this attack.”
