Former U.S. Congressman Anthony Weiner and his wife Huma Abedin, an aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, have moved into a $3.3 million apartment, owned by American Jewish Congress head Jack Rosen’s firm.

The apartment’s market rate for rent is between $12,000-$14,000, according to sources referenced by the New York Post on Monday.

Rosen is an active donor for the Democratic party, including contributions to Bill and Hillary Clinton’s former campaigns.  He has also helped raise nearly half a million dollars to President Obama’s 2012 re-election efforts.

A democratic fundraiser who spoke to The Post said some people believe Weiner and Abedin are living at the 2,120 square-foot, 4 bedroom, apartment free of cost.  However, Philippe Reines, a spokesman for Secretary Clinton, stated the couple pays a market rate for the residence.

“They are a two-income family and are more than capable of paying their market-rate rent,” Reines said.
