JNS.org – Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras visited Israel on Monday with eight Cabinet ministers and 100 business leaders for a series of meetings with Israeli officials to discuss potential agreements for cooperation in security, energy, tourism and more.

“The Greek-Israeli relationship will benefit not only each country, but also the region and beyond,” American Jewish Committee Executive Director David Harris said in a official statement.

“Meeting at the highest level, government to government, or G2G as it is called, confirms the mutual interests in deepening and expanding these all important ties. Such G2G meetings between countries are reserved for the closest of friends and allies,” he said.
