Journalists were given access Sunday to a tunnel discovered by the IDF running between Gaza and Israel. As a result, some alarming photographs and video were produced.
The tunnel was discovered last week after residents of a nearby kibbutz complained of hearing unusual noises. The IDF, which said the tunnel ran nearly a mile and assigned blame for its construction to terror group Hamas, delayed publication of the find while soldiers combed the area for explosives.
Military sources told Israel Hayom that the tunnel, the third of its kind to be discovered in Israel over the past year, was dug using advanced machinery, and was most likely to be used for the purpose of executing a terror attack or abducting Israeli soldiers.
