The Anti-Defamation League on Monday issued a “Top 10″ list of the most influential and most active anti-Israel groups in the United States.

In a statement, ADL National Director Abe Foxman said each of the groups is “fixated with delegitimizing Israel.”

“The Top 10 anti-Israel groups are the most significant players in the domestic anti-Israel movement today,” Foxman said. “The groups are fixated on delegitimizing Israel and convincing the American public that Israel is an international villain that deserves to be ostracized and isolated.”

“The list represents the worst of the worst anti-Israel groups,” Foxman said. “They lob any and every accusation against Israel, including charges of Nazi-like crimes, ‘apartheid’ policies, ethnic cleansing, war crimes and genocide. Their accusations are rarely, if ever, balanced with an acknowledgement of Israel’s repeated efforts to make peace with the Palestinians, or the legitimate terrorism concerns faced by Israeli citizens.”

Jewish anti-Israel group “Jewish Voice for Peace” is included on the ADL’s list. The group’s leaders and members of its Rabbinical Council are regularly invited to major anti-Israel events and conferences, and the group claims that its Jewish nature gives it a “particular legitimacy in voicing an alternative view,” the ADL said, adding that JVP “intentionally exploits Jewish culture and rituals” in an effort to convince other Jews that opposition to Israel does not contradict, but is consistent with, Jewish values.

The ADL’s Top 10 Anti-Israel Groups in the U.S. are listed below:

1. ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism)

2. American Muslims for Palestine

3. CODEPINK

4. Friends of Sabeel-North America

5. If Americans Knew/Council for the National Interest

6. Jewish Voice for Peace

7. Muslim Public Affairs Council

8. Neturei Karta

9. Students for Justice in Palestine

10. U.S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation

Islamists are against all who do not believe as they do, this includes, but is not limited to, Jews, Christians, B’hai, Buddhists, Muslims, etc. What we have lost as humans is the ability to distinguish between good and evil. Americans and much of Western Europe believe that people world wide mean the same thing when they claim they want democracy. The Arab Spring has demonstrated that is not true. Why does the existence of Jews torment so many people? That is the question.

  • Just curious, does anyone know how many members #8 has?

  • There’s another group of scumbag, self-haters who call themselves “Not In My Name”…google them.

  • Geees,,,, where is The Nation of Islam,,,, whats going on here, you just don’t get no more Anti-Semitic than “The Nation of Islam”, what is it are you guys,,, afraid of this Farrakhan(or whatever) guy.

  • Not sure why neither JStreet, CAIR, Peace Now nor the B. Hussein Obama Administration made the list, but it is a good one nevertheless.

  • I remember the 1967 war.I doubt if their was a single anti- semitic Jew..How sad this situation is..S0 many Jews infected with extreme leftism..Will another punishment come from above?

  • Self hating Jews join the anti-Semites in denigrating Israel. Old story.

    • Add J Street to the list to which purports to be pro and factually are not.

    • When so many outstanding Jews were slaughtered by the Nazi’s and their allies, why did G.D spare the parents of these evil Quisling Jews ?

  • Robert Kesten

Interesting that the comments are consistent, except in their attacks on the ADL itself…there are some, but only some. No one mentions the Jewish sect that has gone to Iran and stood with the Ayatollah calling for the destruction of Israel…In many ways that says more about the situation. When the most self-proclaimed devout amongst us stand with mortal enemies, and they are not called out, that is hypocrisy. That is the first name on the list, for they give all the others credibility of a kind.

As for any number of Jewish organizations that are unhappy with the current situation in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, there are few and between honest discussions answering those, or any concerns…that deep void has become a ravine with no one allowed to be in the middle, no one able to forge a way towards a peaceful solution to the problems facing those in Israel.

What is the answer to the problems facing Israelis and what are the problems facing those in the territories? Is a two state solution possible, can anyone live with a one-state solution and is any people durable enough to live with the continual war and violence if the only solution is the status quo. As some point in time, Israel will be unable to live with the status quo, even though some believe that is the only solution. The demographic changes and the changing global position of the US in the world will, in time, change its relationship with the rest of the world and the US priorities will shift…leaving Israel truly alone in the world.

For Israel to be a beacon of light to the rest of the world, for Israel to be strong and continue serving as a protector of Jews around the world, giving American Jews a freedom and acceptance never known to the Jewish people in history, the current situation must come to a resolution.

To move this process along, Jews must talk to Jews on all sides of the issue…we, as a people cannot continue to resemble the US Congress, divided and closed down with the threat of default…we don’t have that option and neither does Israel.

    • Robert: You said “No one mentions the Jewish sect that has gone to Iran and stood with the Ayatollah calling for the destruction of Israel”

Yes they did. It is right up there at #8, Neturei Karta.

    • Number one:How do you “negotiate ” when the only thing your opposition wants is you dead! Their IS NO NEGOTIATION possible!!! We need to start from this point and make sure the whole world is clear on this.

Secondly, those that stand against “their own” are really damaged souls who derive some kind of feelings of “nobility” and intellectual superiority by behaving the way they do. Once again, you’ll never persuade them because really, the underlying issue for them has nothing to do with the surface issue they seem to be protesting, but rather their own self hate.

      • Perfectly stated and 100% accurate, Judith!

      • Yonatan Uziel

Well said, Judith. Unfortunately American Jews have been infected by a liberalism that, particularly when talking about the middle east, can’t definitively state that Israel is good and the arab countries – who continue to attack Israel, vilify it by slandering Israel with outright lies and malicious distortions, and refuse to accept anyone of a different faith – are evil. Despite Israel occaisional missteps, it is clearly black and white. Israel is good and its existence is legitimate. Those who deny this and refuse to make peace with Israel, are bad! Now come on everybody, let’s say it, and say it again and again – so that the truth and goodness will get as much airing as all their lies an propaganda!

  • Stop the Kapo

    They left out the “Reconstructionists”

  • The word apartheid means apart. All the nations in Europe live apart. The French,Germans,Italians,Spanish etc all live apart with separate language & culture.Dr Verwoerd in South Africa wanted all the nations in South Africa to live apart ,speak their own language & have their own culture. The term apartheid was born.Europe is an apartheid entity.I do not understand why this term is adopted to Israel in a derogtory manner. The Democratic Party has been hijacked by socialist Marxist elements.Their main aim is is to destroy religion,Start with Judaism, then Christianity ,in the meantime destroying muslims creating friction between sunnis & shites

  • With the Jewish groups, the problem is that many Jews have always been leftist. For decades, most progressives on labor and civil rights were leftists, and many were Jews, because Jews have an innate sense of equity with the downtrodden. Social justice is a major Jewish trait. Unfortunately, the leftists, beginning in the late 1960s, began to change from empowerment to a victim posture. Politically-coerced censorship was invented, and many progressives went from a feeling of struggling for liberty to a smug and condescending superior attitude. From opposing the war, and pushing for civil rights, many began the neo-censorship phase, pulled themselves out of the front lines, and became arm chair warriors. intangible concepts superseded practical situations. So, from a 1960s view of power to the people, it has morphed into a flow chart mentality, in which the answer to all problems can be discerned by simply inputting a few facts to the flow chart, and going from there.

A 1960s liberal would have grieved over innocent people being murdered and maimed. They would have come from a position of reasoning to solve the problem and end the killing. But today’s politically-coerced censorship crowd, made up of many Jews as had their liberal ancestors, have hardened their position and closed their ears. Because they now ‘think’ from arm chairs they do not know what is actually happening, but what is infinitely worse, do not care. Abstract concepts do not depend on outcomes. And, as tends to happen with fanatics (see recent government shutdown), are not fettered with facts, reason, or experiences, they tend to continue in the same direction, and thus get further and further away from reason.

So, their aims are carved in stone, and not subject to editing. This is why, as the terrorists’ crimes have become greater, these Jew-hating Jews have become more antagonistic. They do not hate their family and their friends, and may even have some in Israel. But what happens to Israel is superseded by their absolute belief that Israel is wrong and the terrorists are right. Not just on some issues, not just with some aspect, but in all things. They have generally not reached this position overnight, but have evolved (or devolved) into their position by continuing to move in the same direction. So, ten years ago they might have felt that Palestinians were downtrodden and needed ‘love.’ Today they are more inclined to excuse any horrific behavior as warranted because poor downtrodden people are being mistreated by wealthy European people. Facts, such as large segments of Israeli society actually being refugees from Muslim lands, or their descendants, or having immigrated from Africa, do not penetrate their world view.

  • Mireille Mechoullam

You could add some of organizations like One Israel Fund. Most members donating in the fund are Jews who think they are doing the right thing. They are not aware that the funds which are poured in go mostly to Arabs in Israel. You could also add some of our Jews who are siding with the other side(Finkelsstein, Homsi, Falk) to name a few.

    • You are probably referring to the New Israel Fund. The One Israel Fund is one of the most pro-Israel, pro-Judea and Samaria organizations out there.

    • You’re confusing One Israel Fund and New Israel Fund. One Israel Fund provides humanitarian aid for the Jewish Communities of Judea and Samaria as well as those who were expelled from Gaza. I believe New Israel Fund is the organization you meant to highlight for it’s funding of BDS entities.

    • Hi Mirielle- in your comment you mention the organization One Israel Fund- saying they give money to Arabs. You MUST have mixed them up with NEW Israel Fund-which I agree gives $ to Arabs. You might want to correct your message. One Israel Fund is such an important organization which directly helps Jews living in Judea and Samaria (Yehuda V’Shomron) giving them safety and security equipment, so INDEED they are supporting Israel, and would be THE LAST org. to give $ to Arabs.. I encourage you to check out their website. Kol Tuv

  • The only thing to come out of this list is that is shows how many organizations are needed to annihilate one tiny little country! More power to Israel!

  • MISNOMER

The world is not black and white, it has many colors and variations. It is naive to label these organization as anti-Israel, they are certainly against Netanyahu’s kind of policies, which are a hindrance to long term security of Israel. Instead of flatly branding them, it would be wise to have a dialogue with them.

    • Netanyahu is a gift to these groups. The ‘tree that keeps on giving’. However, he does expose the obsessive delusional nature of these groups so much more than other Israeli leaders.

True that the modern Jew has always found himself in groups, mostly left leaning groups, who demand equality. Sadly, many of those left groups simply cannot understand Zionism and its demand for a Jewish Identity and state. On the other hand, they accept without question Arab Nationalism which gives rise to suspicion that their inability to understand Jewish nationalism hides a murky basic prejudice which should not be part of the substance of the true left.

Another point is that these anti Israel groups, if you dig a little, will almost certainly expose serious objections to US foreign policy with respect to terrorism. There is a correlation there.

    • You are kidding I hope, a dialogue with them, do you read the Israeli news and by the way they do not want a dialogue they want to wipe out Israel and nothing more or less.

    • Otto Waldmann in Sydney

Misnomer most definitely are the fallacies you have put together. For starters, all those organisations have started well before Netanyahu and “his” policies have been crystalised. They are simply what the main article calls and describes them !!!

    • These same organizations were just as anti-Israel when Olmert offered the Arabs the equivalent of all the disputed territories and even portions of Jerusalem. Their despicable anti-Israel fanaticism has nothing to do with any particular Israeli government; they simply want Israel to disappear.

    • Seriously, folks? Mike Ghouse???
A self-proclaimed advocate of Islamic Pluralism (translation: help us take over the world while you are asleep at the wheel) – Ghouse is a regular TV guest who takes every opportunity he gets to whitewash Radical and Fundamental Islam as some sort of peace-loving group of silent monks.
You can find him engaging in “interfaith dialogue” at your local reformed synagogue with Rabbi Laura Kumbayastein (who very likely is in a committed relationship…with another woman).
As for the ADL’s list, the organizations named, together with the noticeably absent JStreet (how could they have missed that one), C.A.I.R., M.S.A. (Muslim Students’ Assn), Peace Now, Abe Foxman’s Friend Barack Hussein Obama, and – dare I say – many elements of the Democratic Party (anyone remember the 2012 Convention and the boos for Jerusalem?), with whom the above-named organizations are closely affiliated, all rightfully belong.
Since the ADL’s Abe Foxman is well-known to place his “access” to his buddy Obama above anything including Israel’s survival, I would add that other group that clearly belongs on this list, but was also missing for obvious reasons, is the ADL itself.

  • Michael Garfinkel

a procession of self-hating, anti-Jewish Jews continues apace, hiding behind banners that proclaim “social justice.”

  • If they were honest, ADL would include themselves on the list, along with JStreet and Southern Poverty Law Center.

    • Southern Poverty Law Center? Can you clarify? I get their literature on a regular basis. As a matter of fact I’m a member. I’ve never seen them say a word about Israel (or Palestine) one way or another.

  • The BDS movement is highly “selective;” shades of Mengele. If it serves their purpose in medicine or technology, they will unabashedly take or use it. The enemies of Jews/Israel (one and the same) will wither like the Romans and Egyptians while Jews will continue to flourish along with their Nobel Laureates.

If the world population of 6.7 Billion were to be counted individually, the Jewish population of 0.2% would be well within the margin of counting error; in other words, statistically, Jews do not exist. Therefore, why do these hate cults dissipate so much energy on a statistically non-existent people????

  • CAIR -Council on American-Islamic Relations is another.

  • It is galling & very tragic to see Jewish groups lining up with Arabs to will the destruction of Israel. How treacherous is this, how much disregard these groups have for their own brethren. As a survivor of the vilest murder of our people in our time, I find it unbelievable to see these treacherous Jews siding with our enemies to annihilate whatever Jews are still alive. They should convert not deserving to call themselves Jew.

  • How could Foxman possibly forget to include J Street? The Groups mentioned are for the most part Muslim. J Street is supposedly Jewish but would be content to sit on their ass and watch Israel fall. They are worse then any Muslim group who are their allies. J Street is a disgrace.

  • Perhaps the ADL should list itself as a danger to Israel(And what about “J Street”, why are they not on the list?) The ADL, having been reduced to nothing more than a leftist organization, more interested in pleasing their leftist friends than advocating for Jews, does a real disservice to Israel and worldwide Jewry by ignoring the immense threat that Islam brings to the world at large and Jews/Israel in particular. Labeling people like Pam Geller and Robert Spencer (to name just two out of many pro-Israel supporters that the ADL publicly condemns)Islamophobes, bigots, and other leftist inspired ad-hominum pejorative adjectives, the ADL has lost it’s moral authority and should be viewed by Jews/Israel as hostile to Zionism and Israeli sovereignty. Tragically, in my humble opinion, the ADL has found “liberalism” (simply a euphemism for cowardice) a more convenient ideology than to be a true advocate and guardian for the Jewish people. Memo to Abe Foxman: You are pedantic, predictable and ineffective leader, except in the parallel universe that is occupied by your fellow leftists. Please resign(along with the entire Board) and allow an adult who actually understands the difference between right and wrong to take over, reestablishing the ADL as a citadel of morality and a vehicle for the advancement of Jews and Israel.

  • Good to know you listed those organizations…now we know who to send our money too….not you apartheid, racists.

    • Your use of the false accusation ( read “blood libel”) apartheid epithet reveals your prejudicial bias and noxious anti-semitism.

  • Perhaps the ADL should list itself as a danger to Israel. • Irving D, Cohen

Will someone please let Mr.Foxman know That he should change one word in his quoted statement ? I know that he means to say “actual” or “real” terrorism when he says “legitimate” terrorism is faced by Israeli citizens.

Legitimate means legal or lawful, which is exactly what terrorism is NOT-under any circumstances.

    • The phrase was “legitimate terrorism concerns.” It is the concerns over terrorism, not the terrorism itself, that Mr. Foxman was describing as legitimate.

  • Agree with “judorebbe”, except that the ADL left out C.A.I.R., M.S.A. (Muslim Students’ Assn), JStreet, Peace Now, Abe Foxman’s Friend Barack Hussein Obama, and – dare I say – many elements of the Democratic Party (anyone remember the 2012 Convention and the boos for Jerusalem?), with whom the above-named organizations are closely affiliated.

  • Add JStreet to that . Make it number one

  • I knew of 3, 5, 6, 9, and 10. I always thought 8 was a joke and no one took them seriously. Kind of like the group in heaven keeping their eyes shut and their hands over their ears so they can pretend that they are the only ones in heaven.

  • Every once in a while, the ADL actually provides a useful service.

    • I am not surprise if the Arabs, or Muslims are against Israel also I am not surprise if Christians also do not accept us, Jewish elements are against Israel and this really breaks my heart is all about their superstition religion invented by them, to be against Israel is not in the Talmud they just weaken our strenght

      • May I quote Pope Francis, “A Christian cannot be anti-Semitic ! Let Anti-Semitism be banished from the heart and life of every man and every woman!” There’s a sobering section in the New Testament (Matthew 7:21-23)wherein Jesus/Yeshua says that (at judgement day) many people will cry out to him saying, “Lord, Lord”, but he’ll say “I never knew you!” Clearly there have always been those who use the term Christian but actually hate the very people that God loves. Just like anti-Semitic Jews.

Robert Gates’ Memoir is a Jaw-Dropping Read (REVIEW)

Former Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates’s memoir follows the classic form, telling the story of his years at the Pentagon during the Bush and Obama administrations. He focuses on what he did and experienced personally as secretary, neither writing a broad policy treatise nor recounting the entire history of the administrations in which he served. In so doing, Gates provides penetrating insights about the inner workings of US national security decision-making. Had I been George W. Bush, I would [...]
