NY Daily News – Holocaust survivors were horrified that ghoulish death camp relics were being hawked on eBay.
“It’s outrageous,” said Hillel Himmel, 86, who suffered for months in the Budzyn concentration camp in Poland in 1942. “To make money out of things like this is terrible.”
On Sunday, the shamed website apologized and took down 30 items of offensive memorabilia and also donated $40,000 to a suitable charity. “We are very sorry these items have been listed on eBay and we are removing them,” the company said.
