U.S. to Outline Plan to Sell Missile Defense Systems to Gulf States

WSJ – MANAMA, Bahrain—Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel on Saturday will announce an initiative designed to improve cooperation among Persian Gulf kingdoms and beef up the region’s missile defenses.

Mr. Hagel will outline a U.S. plan to sell missile defense equipment, including early-warning sensors, to the Gulf Cooperation Council, an organization of energy-rich Arab kingdoms, according to advance excerpts of his speech.
