Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that a  ”Jew-free” Palestinian state, now being contemplated in peace talks, would be tantamount to ethnic cleansing, in a trailer for an hour-long interview with Canada’s CTV to be broadcast this week.

When the interviewer, CTV’s Lisa LaFlamme, said that 1 in 5 Israelis are Arab, Netanyahu responded, “Sure. We’re not asking them to change their religion, they have full civic rights. Now in the Palestinian state, the way its being contemplated, no Jew can live there, it has to be Jew free, ethnic cleansing. Well, what is that? There are Arabs who live here, but they can’t contemplate Jews living there.”

He said that rather than the issue of settlements, the crux of the disagreement is the Palestinian Authority’s refusal to recognize a Jewish state.

“I think the issue of settlements will be resolved, the question of the territories, in general, will be resolved in the negotiations. I don’t think it’s the heart of the conflict, though I know people think of it that way, but it isn’t, it isn’t so,” Netanyahu said.

“It’s not about settlements, it’s not about territory, and it’s not even about a Palestinian state, which we agreed right from the start to recognize. It’s about a Jewish state. It’s about survival of the state of Israel. It’s absurd that we’re willing to recognize, that I’m willing to recognize the Palestinians, but in exchange, they’re not willing to recognize the Jewish state, the nation state of the Jewish people. There’s something wrong there.”

With three more months before a U.S.-set deadline for the talks, Netanyahu said he was hopeful that the talks succeed.

“I hope they don’t fail, and I hope we can do everything we can to have a successful outcome. We’re ready to do it, i’m ready to do it,” he said.

  • The Israeli government demand that the Palestinians recognize Israel as a Jewish state is the single most difficult issue facing the current round of peace talks. It would be dangerous to recognize Israel because this would mean their acceptance of the dissolution of their own history and ties and their historic right to Palestine. One of the crucial pieces to the Palestinian narrative is that they (Palestinians) were present in the Holy Land before the Jews, and because of this, have a greater moral authority and right to the territory as part of a future independent Palestinian state. Supporters of the Palestinian position often compare the Palestinians to “indigenous” peoples like Native Americans and call Israel a “colonizer.” There are more than a few problems with the Palestinian narrative.
The modern media is filled with stories about the Palestinians, their plight, their dilemmas and their struggles. All aspects of their lives seem to have been put under the microscope. Only one question never seems to be addressed: Who are the Palestinians? Who are these people who claim the Holy Land as their own? What is their history? Where did they come from? How did they arrive in the country they call Palestine? If the Palestinians are as ancient a people as they claim to be, then we’ll find copious amounts of evidence of that in various works of history, won’t we? (Just like we find lots of history about the ancient Romans, Greeks, Albanians, Mygars, Bulgars, Egyptians, and a whole host of others).
But here’s where it gets interesting, because as it turns out, the “ancient” Palestinian people are elusive indeed. In fact, they’re so completely elusive that at some point, when pouring over the historical record and finding exactly nothing…no mention of them at all in ancient times, you have to begin to ask yourself why that is. The general impression given by most in the media is that Palestinians were established in the Holy Land for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Yet curiously, when it comes to giving the history of this ancient people most news outlets find it harder to go back more than the early nineteen hundreds. Some examples:
    - CNN, an agency which has devoted countless hours of airtime to the “plight” of the Palestinians, has a website which features a special section on the Middle East conflict called “Struggle For Peace”. It includes a promising sounding section entitled “Lands Through The Ages” which assures us it will detail the history of the region using maps. Strangely, it turns out, the maps displayed start no earlier than the ancient date of 1917.
    - The CBS News website has a background section called “A Struggle For Middle East Peace.” Its history timeline starts no earlier than 1897.
    - The NBC News background section called “Searching for Peace” has a timeline which starts in 1916. – BBC’s timeline starts in 1948.
Go to the website belonging to the Palestinian National Authority to find out about the ancient Palestinians? After you wade through several pages bemoaning the “Israeli occupation” and “Israeli human rights violations,” you find yourself wondering where the history is, and you will find a little, some of it even dating back to the early 1900’s, but it would be a bit of a stretch to call this “ancient,” no matter how much you torture the definition of the word.
So it begs the question: If the Palestinians are indeed a myth, then the real question becomes “Why?” Why invent a fictitious people? The answer is that the myth of the Palestinian People serves as the justification for Arab occupation of the Land of Israel.

  • It has long been speculated that Israel’s settlement policy is in fact a strategy to deport Israel’s Muslim population should a future “Palestinian” deport the Jews within its borders.

  • In 1956, when Egypt abrogated its treaties and seized the Suez Canal, the United States abrogated its treaties with its British, French and Israeli allies, leaving them to fight in Sinai for the U.S. interests without U.S. participation. Israel did not win the 1967 war with U.S. fighter jets, but with French jets. It was the greed of the U.S. armaments industry and their need for field tests (not American blood) that got Israel hooked on military credits (not cash). Every world flashpoint except Israel were defended by U.S. troops spilling U.S. blood from U.S. bases supported by U.S. taxpayers. The next time you hear the Arab Lie about Billion$ of U.S. support, look at the facts in context.

  • What’s the difference between a Jew-free Palestinian state as a result of ethnic-cleansing and a now-Jew-free Gaza Strip due to the so-called “Disengagement”? Does this imply that when Israel forcibly expelled all Jews from Gaza it was NOT ethnic-cleansing?? While defining a Palestinian state as Jew-free in law and principle IS ethnic-cleansing??? Just for the record, Netanyahu has never admitted that the ‘Disengagement” was an act of ethnic-cleansing. He completely supported and voted for the ethnic-cleansing that was part and parcel of the ‘Disengagement’ of Gaza in 2005. We should never forget this and we should never let HIM forget it.

You sound extremely plausible and erudite. The pally propaganda has done so well I can assure you Sir there is no pro-Israel camp outside of Israel. The whole of the west except tiny Ireland is being dominated by Islam. So called palestinians have received billions of $ in aid. What do they spend it on? $50k per head for terrorists released. Supplying arms to to the Gazans. Educating your kids to hate Jews. At least 18,000 school kids in so called palestine are being trained to use weaponry. This is only the published figure. A time bomb waiting to blow. Yes I am Pro Israel and proud of it. If arabs think they will get a better life under Sharia Law then go to the rest of the fighting middle east. Israel should never and won’t submit to so called palestinian demands in the long run. No matter how much talking is being done by Kerry and everyone else! Israel was founded in ’48 as a peace offering for the persecution of Jews in WWII. Israel has been attacked with rockets all through the cease fire agreement. Also during so called peace talks. Eraket your own mouth piece has already announced publicly on FB he intends to wipe out Israel! Finally muslims live in Israel and do not come under attack. Get your act together you so called palestinians either go back to Jordan the official home of palestinians or learn to live with an administration of the 21st century rather than 7th. You are all becoming very boring to people like me living on the edge of the NE Atlantic who has a good understanding of the arab mind bent. I’ve lived amongst you. Double tongued sums arabs up whether you like it or not it is a fact.

      • Yours is the only comment which makes any sense, goldie. The rest are all insanely, rabidly anti-Israel, ie anti-Jewish! Thanks for spelling out the truth.

  • Robert Schwarz

Bullsh*tting Netanyahu: Palestinians don’t ask for a JEW free state, but for a Palestinian state free of ISRAELI citizens (today’s colonist settlers).
As always, Netanyahu presents himself as the greatest thug in the history of Israeli PMs.

    • And what’s the diff, dear Mr. Schwarz?

    • Does Mr. Schwarz actually believe that a Jew or a Christian can receive full civil rights in Judea Samaria? Equality under the law? Human rights for women? And that their condition would improve as long as there is no Israeli citizenship?
Does the denial of Israeli citizenship apply to Arab and Judean Palestinians?
Israel is the inheritor of the Mandate, which accords all; Religious freedom and choice.
Israel has a responsibility to Gazans to restore the rights they had enjoyed under Israeli administration.
There must be an end to the humanitarian crisis occurring in freed Palestine under the corrupt regime.

  • Leonard Douglas Excell

Mr Benjamin Netanyahu is quite right in what he says. No more territory should be given to the Arabs, a so called Palestinian state should not be established any where near Isreal’s capital no matter what the peace deal requires, it would be tantamount to state suicide. LD Excell from South Africa.

    • Vivienne Leijonhufvud (goldie)

It is quite clear to a complete outsider like myself living on the edge of Europe (practically in the NE Atlantic). That so called palestinians from Gaza or the so called west bank are attempting to take over the nation of Israel. This has been the intention for as long as I can remember. Mr. BN is indeed quite right.

The Arab interlopers of Judea and Samaria want a Jew-free state? I think that

Saudi Arabia, which is Jew-free, and
Syria, which is Jew-free, and even
    Jordan, which is Jew-free

are their historic homelands, and ready-made for them to
live Jew-free. Those are also the areas from which
these interlopers migrated to Eretz Yisrael in the late 1800′s. So send the poor darlin’s home, bless their little Muslim hearts. It’s really their best shot….because I just don’t think the Jews will be committing hara-Kerry anytime soon.

  • Ernie Lofthouse

AS A CHRISTIAN AMERICAN MY HEART ACHES TO WATCH THE WORLD TURNING AGAINST THE ONLY TRUE DEMOCRACY IN THE ENTIRE MIDDLE EAST. WE HAVE AN AMERICAN PRESIDENT AND SECRETARY OF STATE WILLING TO ALLOW ISRAEL TO BE DESTROYED JUST TO APPEASE THEIR OWN POLITICAL AGENDA. OBAMA HAS REPEATLY SHOWN HIS TRUE COLORS WHEN IT COMES TO THE ARAB AGENDA, HE IS NOW MORE EMBOLDENED BECAUSE HE CANNOT RUN AGAIN SO ALL THE FETTERS ARE OFF. HE HAS SHOWN HIMSELF TO BE A LIAR REPEATLY IN HIS DEALINGS WITH HIS OWN PEOPLE LET ALONE A MAN HE CLEARLY DESPISES BENJAMIN NETANYAHU HIS TREATMENT OF THE LEADER OF ISRAEL IS REPUGNANT TO SAY THE LEAST! HE WILL TURN HIS BACK ON ISRAEL IN AN INSTANT FOR HIS ARAB FRIENDS, I AM AFRAID ISRAEL IS HEADED FOR ANOTHER CONFRONTATION WITH IRAN BECAUSE OF THE BETRAYAL BY OUR SO-CALLED PRESIDENT. THE SECOND MOST READ BOOK IN THE MUSLIM WORLD IS MIEN KAMPF THAT SHOULD TELL THE WORLD HOW THE ARAB LOOKS UPON ISRAEL AND HER RIGHT TO EXIST. LASTLY OVERLOOKED BY SO MANY HERE AND IN ISRAEL IS GODS PROMISES IN EZEKIEL THAT ONCE THE NATION WAS REASTABLISHED THEY WOULD NEVER BE DRIVEN OUT AGAIN. ALSO GOD’S OTHER WARNING WHICH IS BEING IGNORED BY THE WORLD TO THEIR PERIL. GOD’S PROMISE TO ABRAHAM I SHALL BLESS THOSE THAT BLESS YOU AND CURSE THOSE WHO CURSE YOU. PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM

    • WatcherotheWall

      To Mr. Lofthouse,
Bravo! Excellent repose! Our politicians believe they are Masters of the Universe, but God will have the last word, and His will be done, exactly as it is written!! He wants us to remember–– He has told us how things will play out ––in advance.

It will be suicidal to give any bit of Judea and Samaria. We tried with Gaza and what did we got one thousand of missiles. Israel cannot afford that luxury. The idea that to have Jews under the PA is unthinkable. It won’t take too long that these poor Jews will be killed in no time. Thank you but not thank you.

  • Would any Jew be crazy enough to want to live under the protection of a Palestinian state? I am sure that the future state of Palestine will claim to be secular and provide the equal protection of the laws to all its residents, but I would not want to be the one to test that.

In any event, Netanyahu is merely posturing to justify putting Jews into areas that will be undoubtedly under Palestinian jurisdiction. He has no intention of leaving those Jews abandonned. Indeed, he has no intention of letting go of anything in “Judea and Samaria.”

  • Judy Silver-Shapiro

They worship and emulate hitler and NAZIS.

    Their state=TransJordan

  • E Pluribus Wombat

Of course. That’s been the point all along. The British have been outsourcing their own Holocaust to the Arabs for 70 years.

  • Just like the Hamastan of Gaza is JUE-FREE and he helped to create it by voting in favor of Sharon’s ethnic cleansing plan thirteen times, that is until the last vote.
It would be JUDENREIN (Jew-Free, “purified” from Jews, as they used to say in the Third Reich) just like Jordan is, like Saudi Arabia is, like Afghanistan is, like Syria is, like Lebanon is, ecc.
Has anyone informed JCall and the rest of the appeasers?

  • “Jew free?” A Nazi position is it not?

  • Israel has more than l.5 million Arabs, yet the Palestinian Arabs are still insisting on a Jew-free (Judenrein) Palestinian state. Israel must announce that there will never be a Judenrein Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria. It’s bad enough that there’s already a Judenrein Palestinian state in Gaza, and also in Jordan. I’m glad to hear Netanyahu making the statements that are reported in this article. Please visit my website, peacecircle.org

Hamas Commander Reportedly Urges Hezbollah to Join Forces Against Israel

JNS.org – Five months after Israeli forces tried to assassinate Hamas military commander Mohammed Deif in Gaza, Deif appears to have signed a letter that the terrorist group claims he wrote in hiding. The letter, addressed to Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, expressed Deif’s condolences for the death of Hezbollah terrorists during Sunday’s reported Israeli airstrike in Syria. Deif is said to have survived multiple assassination attempts, but he has not been seen in public for years. According to the Hezbollah-linked Al-Manar [...]

JNS.org – The cracks that had been simply painted over for so long began to show in Ferguson, Mo., in November 2014, but in truth they had begun to open wide much earlier—on Saturday, July 13, 2013. That is when a jury in Sanford, Fla., acquitted George Zimmerman of culpability for the death of a 17-year-old black man, Trayvon Martin. The cracks receded from view over time, as other news obscured them. Then came the evening of Aug. 9, 2014, [...]

‘Homeland’ Season Finale Stirs Controversy After Comparing Menachem Begin to Taliban Leader

A controversial scene in the season finale of Homeland sparked outrage by comparing former Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin to a fictional Taliban leader, the UK’s Daily Mail reported. In the season 4 finale episode, which aired on Dec. 21, CIA black ops director Dar Adal, played by F. Murray Abraham, justifies a deal he made with a Taliban leader by referencing Begin. He makes the remarks in a conversation with former CIA director Saul Berenson, a Jewish character played by Mandy [...]

But the latest adaptation—Ridley Scott’s epic film, “Exodus: Gods and Kings”—fails to meet expectations. Scott’s “Exodus” alters the source material to service the story and ground the tale, but the attempt to reinvent the biblical narrative becomes laughable. Moses [...]
