At least five people were killed and 30 were injured in an explosion on a tour bus at the Taba border crossing between Israel and Egypt on Sunday. The incident is believed to be a terrorist attack.

Israel’s Yoseftal Hospital has declared a state of alert in preparation for incoming casualties, and Magen David has moved ambulances to the border. The bus was travelling towards Israel.

It is yet unclear what caused the explosion; there are reports of a bomb, while other reports indicate that a rocket was fired at the bus. Egyptian security forces have shut off their side of the border with Israel to aid in the capture of the attackers.
