Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah claimed that the U.S. and Israel are deploying suicide bombers in Lebanon, Israel’s Walla reported on Monday.
“The Israelis and Americans are using extremists as suicide bombers inside of Lebanon,” he said, in a speech honoring deceased terror operatives.
Nasrallah dismissed claims that recent suicide attacks against Hezbollah targets were a response to his group’s meddling in Syria’s civil war. “Such actions were already occurring prior [to the civil war],” he claimed.
The arch-terrorist also pledged continued support for the regime of President Bashar al-Assad in its bloody battle against various rebel elements. “We will remain in Syria,” he said.
While mentioning the United States in his talk, Nasrallah asserted that Israel is Lebanon’s greatest enemy. He claimed that the Jewish state poses a threat to his country’s, “water supply, citizens, security, and sovereignty.” He added that, “Israel is exploiting the situation in Lebanon to conduct psychological warfare against the resistance.”
Nasrallah stressed that Hezbollah is constantly preparing for war with Israel: “Our weaponry and techniques are being enhanced so that the resistance will be able to engage in larger conflicts.”
However, he said, “We still hope that the Lebanese army will be able to defend Lebanon from Israel, so that we can go home.”
