Former Finance Minister Steinitz Expresses Concern Over Israel Economy Growth Projections

Israel Hayom – International Relations, Intelligence and Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz, who was the finance minister during the previous government’s term, criticized Finance Minister Yair Lapid Tuesday over recent developments in Israel’s economy.

“The state of the economy is very disconcerting,” Steinitz said, adding that 2013 “was a reasonable year for the market. The deficit dropped to 3 percent [of gross domestic product] — it didn’t rise from 4% to 5%, as Lapid predicted over what he called the ‘difficult situation he inherited.'”
