Israel Hayom – The Tel Aviv Magistrates’ Court on Sunday convicted Hadash MK Mohammad Barakeh of assault over his actions during a protest in Rabin Square in July 2006, during the Second Lebanon War.
Prosecutor Yossi Kurtzberg said that during the protest Barakeh struck a photographer, Yitzhak Hananya, in his elbows, ribs and shoulder after Hananya made offensive remarks to the protesters.
