JNS.org – A suspect in the Brussels Jewish museum shooting has been arrested, Belgian media is reporting.
According to VTM News, a federal prosecutor said a suspect has been arrested in connection to the shooting as well as other crimes.
The shooting that killed four people at the Jewish Museum of Belgium in Brussels last weekend was likely a terrorist attack, said Wenke Roggen, a spokesperson for the Belgian Federal Prosecutor’s Office.
Meanwhile, the Israeli couple that was killed in the attack was laid to rest in Israel on Tuesday. Hundreds of people, including Belgian Ambassador to Israel John Cornet d’Elzius, attended the funeral at Kiryat Shaul cemetery in Tel Aviv.
“Our hearts are broken,” d’Elzius said. “We mourn with you the deaths of your loved ones who were killed in the criminal attack. The Belgian nation is dismayed and stands united against acts of anti-Semitism.”
