JNS.org – Alut—the Israeli Society for Autistic Children—and the Israeli delegation to the United Nations on Tuesday hosted an exhibit of artwork by autistic Israeli children.

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Israeli Ambassador to the U.N. Ron Prosor, and El Al Airlines captain Dubi Ofer—the father of autistic twins—also participated.

“We are proud that year after year, we are promoting worldwide awareness about disabilities in general and autism in particular,” Prosor said, according to Israel Hayom.

Alut Director-General Einat Cassuto-Shefi added, “There is great importance to the issue being placed before the U.N.”
