An incident on Monday, in which Hamas police officers killed two starving citizens and wounded tens of others, illustrates the level of intensity in the Gaza Strip these days.
Israel’s Channel 2 reported that a large group of residents in the Beit Hanoun neighborhood had gathered outside a local food stand, holding food vouchers given to them by the regime. The hunger and lack of food led to a quarrel among the waiting masses. Very quickly the quarreling spiraled into violence, weapons were drawn with some residents opening fire.
Hamas policemen hurried to the scene to suppress the violence. In an attempt to calm the situation down, the policemen too drew their weapons and directed them at the residents. In the ensuing moments, Hamas shot and killed two residents from Beit Hanoun and wounded dozens more.
The incident follows another reported instance of Hamas violence against Gazans.
The day before yesterday tens of residents in the Al Shifa hospital protested against the terrorist organization, with Hamas consequently extracting some of the protesters and executing them on the spot.
