Temple Mount, Jerusalem Faced With Palestinian Riots Over Gaza Conflict

JNS.org – Masked Arab youths attacked police with stones and fireworks at the Temple Mount on Monday in a continuation of violence at the site that began over the weekend and has led to more than 12 arrests.

Five Israeli police officers were lightly wounded as the rioters set up blockades around the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In eastern Jerusalem, meanwhile, Palestinians threw Molotov cocktails at Israeli authorities. Israeli police have arrested 430 suspected violent rioters since the beginning of July, and more than 150 have been indicted, reported Yedioth Ahronoth.
