Jordanian Senate Member Repeats Blood Libel on Official State TV (VIDEO)

A Jordanian Senate member, and former minister, Sheikh Bassam Ammoush, said that Jews use Christian blood to bake matzo wafers, used during the week-long Passover holiday, during a sermon delivered on August 22.
“…the matzos that they bake on their holidays must be kneaded with blood,” Ammoush declared. “When the Jews were in the diaspora, they would murder children in England, in Europe, and in America. They would slaughter them and use their blood to make their matzos.”
The sermon aired on the official Jordanian state TV channel.
In 1997, Jordan appointed him as administrative development minister after his expulsion from the Muslim Brotherhood, according to Arab media watchdog, MEMRI.
Ammoush served as Jordanian ambassador to Iran in 2001, and was appointed to the Hashemite Kingdom’s Senate in 2011.
