In a video clip released Sunday night, the Lebanon-based Hezbollah terror group said it had fired a rocket from a drone, hitting an ISIS target in Syria, according to Israel’s Ma’ariv News.

If the unconfirmed video is valid, it would be the first time the Shiite terror group has used such an air-to-ground weapon, which would signify a major upgrade in its war-making abilities, according to experts in Israel.

The weapon, which may have been of Iranian manufacture, is seen hitting a lone structure located within an olive grove, and used by the al-Nusra Front, according to the unverified video.

Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah has said in recent statements that in a future conflict with Israel, they plan infiltration raids into Israeli territory in the upper Galilee.

Officials with the IDF’s Northern Command have said they group could conceivably take over small border communities, although the army believes such a maneuver would be contained and repulsed within several hours.

A senior army official said the boasts by Hezbollah weren’t anything new, and that Nasrallah has uttered similar threats several times in recent years.

Earlier Sunday, the IDF announced that a surveillance drone had crashed within Lebanese territory on Saturday, near the village of Marjayoun, some 15 kilometers (nine miles), north of Israel.

Lebanese military forces were seen collecting the debris of what appeared to be a small Skylark drone.
