Jerusalem Post – Following a spate of terror attacks in which Israelis have been run over by Palestinians in vehicles, the IDF will in the coming week deploy protective barricades across 20 hitchhiking posts and bus stops in the West Bank, to prevent attacks there.
The barricades will be places in the busiest areas in Judea and Samaria used by Israeli passengers, the army said. Lt.-Col. Hanan Aviel, Senior Engineering Officer in the Judea and Samaria Division, said terror attacks involving the running down of victims have become common due to the ease of carrying them out, and the lack of any need by the terrorist to prepare ahead of time.
