Australian Jewish Institutions Under Lockdown Amid Sydney Hostage Crisis

Jerusalem Post – Australian Jewish institutions have placed themselves under lockdown due to a hostage situation in Sydney involving Islamic militants, community sources announced Monday. There is so far no indication that local Jews are being targeted.

Australian Muslim leaders have condemned the taking of an indeterminate number of hostages in the city’s Lindt Chocolate Cafe by attackers who hoisted a black Islamic flag Sunday.
