John Hagee
Founder of Christians United for Israel
Pastor John Hagee’s Christians United for Israel has emerged as the world’s largest pro-Israel grass-roots membership group. With more than 1.2 million members, it has made clear to leaders of the United States, Israel’s greatest ally, that support for the Jewish state is far more widespread than just the Jewish community. In the early days of Operation Protective Edge, some 5,000 members of Hagee’s group gathered in Washington, D.C., where the pastor said, “We’ve come to Washington to ask our government to stop demanding for Israel to show restraint.”
