Josh Block, head of The Israel Project (TIP), is a veteran communications, foreign policy and political strategist who formerly served on the senior staff of AIPAC and worked for the Clinton administration and the US State Department. As CEO and president of TIP, Block oversees the non-partisan U.S. educational organization that serves as a one-stop source for detailed and accurate information for journalists, policymakers and the public on a range of issues relating to Israel. TIP notably works in several languages, and has an extensive Arabic media program. Block has introduced new efforts to TIP since he took the helm. For instance, Block helped to launch The Tower, an online long-form journalism publication devoted to Middle East and Israel issues, calling it “Vanity Fair Meets Foreign Affairs.”
