President Obama praised a “historic understanding” with Iran on Thursday, saying it paves the way for a final agreement designed to prevent Tehran from making nuclear weapons and promote a more peaceful world.
“If this framework leads to a final, comprehensive deal, it will make our country, our allies, and our world safer,” Obama said at the White House. “This has been a long time coming.”
