Wall Street Journal – Senate Foreign Relations Chairman Bob Corker (R., Tenn.) on Monday offered a scathing review of nuclear negotiations with Iran, urging President Barack Obama to strengthen, or else abandon, a deal just two weeks before an official deadline for an agreement.
Mr. Corker called it “breathtaking” the administration would accept a deal with Iran and six other nations that would only manage, rather than dismantle, Iran’s nuclear arsenal while allowing the “isolated country with roguish policies” to enrich itself through research and development in advanced missile technology. The letter to Mr. Obama is the latest flare up between the White House and Congress over a nonproliferation agreement that could form a central part of Mr. Obama’s second-term accomplishments.
