Iran to Hold Final Hearing in Trial of Washington Post Journalist Charged With Espionage

An Iranian court held its final hearing Monday in the trial of a Washington Post journalist facing charges including espionage, and a decision could come within the week, his lawyer said.
The move toward a possible verdict comes more than a year after Jason Rezaian, the Post’s correspondent in Tehran, was detained by Iranian authorities. He has strongly denied the allegations in a case that has drawn appeals for his release from the State Department, international media watchdog groups and others.
