Residents of the West Bank Jewish settlement of Har Adar near Jerusalem accused Palestinians from a neighboring village of throwing Molotov cocktails at their homes on Wednesday, Israeli Channel 2 News reported.
The suspects apparently fled the scene immediately after the attack, which occurred while several family members were sitting in their backyard, located just near the security fence surrounding the community.
The firebombing incident was caught on film: The video shows a number of Palestinian youths from the small neighboring village approaching the fence.
“We see down there, below, one of them running away,” one resident can be heard saying.
“I caught him [on video] and they fled to this house,” one of the sons said. “Here, another one is coming.”
Residents told Channel 2 that incidents involving Molotov cocktails being thrown across the fence have occurred sporadically over two days. It was only by a “miracle” that one of the family members was not harmed in the attack, they said.
