British pop icon Elton John may perform in Israel next spring, the Israeli news website nrg reported on Thursday.
According to the report, based on foreign news services, Elton John will be playing in Tel Aviv’s Hayarkon Park in May, 2016.
If the rumors are true, nrg said, this will be John’s fourth Israel concert. His first visit to the Jewish state was in 1980, on Israel Independence Day. His second — almost canceled due to the star’s ire at Israeli paparazzi — was in 1993. In 2010, he performed at the Ramat Gan Stadium to a huge audience.
