JNS.org – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is seeking to increase the powers of his office, cited Adolf Hitler’s Nazi Germany as an example of an “effective” presidential system.

“There are already examples in the world. You can see it when you look at Hitler’s Germany,” Erdogan told reporters on a return trip from Saudi Arabia, Reuters reported.

“There are later examples in various other countries,” he added.

Erdogan, who has a history of making anti-Semitic and anti-Israel statements, is attempting to revamp Turkey’s constitution by moving the presidency away from a largely ceremonial role to a strong chief executive, like the presidencies of the United State or France. Many in Turkey fear that Erdogan is seeking to consolidate more power for himself and his Islamist AKP party.

Lets be objective , Erdogan did not say that Hitler was a good guy , he only said that some aspects of Hitler presidency is good , and that is true Hitler economic model did save Germany economy after WWI no one can deny that , the fact that Hitler was a war criminal will not change or make this fact void

I hope he incorporates the same military strategy Hitler did when he set out to conquer Russia. I don’t believe Russians were to fond of Hitler. One thing is for sure he is following Obamas lead as he sets out to control the congress, destroy the constitution and seed radical Islamic elements with the intention of subrogating the country to the caliphate powers that be. One thing for sure Russia will be a thorn in his side….Daniel prophesied that.

israel should absolutely normalize its diplomatic relations with turkey. this is very important as it supports israeli tourists who may wish to vacation in turkey and inject some hard currency into the turkish economy. but any military dimensions, like modernization of turkey’s aircraft and tanks, or foreign policy like support for kurdish independence, or the supplying of weapons to gaza, should be out of bounds.
