Following a two-day manhunt, Israeli security services arrested a Palestinian teenager suspected of committing Sunday evening’s terrorist attack in which a 38-year-old woman was stabbed in front of her children, the IDF Spokesman’s Office reported on Tuesday.
The Palestinian suspect, identified as 16-year-old Morad Bader Abdullah Adais, was apprehended at his home in the village of Beit Amra, a little over a mile from the settlement of Otniel, where the murder of Dafna Meir took place.
Contrary to initial assessments, Adais did not possess a permit to work in the community.
Hebrew press reports quoting the Palestinian media said that Adais’ father was “proud” of his son for carrying out the attack, to which he confessed.
The IDF released a video clip Tuesday morning showing the elite Duvdevan unit and the Shin Bet arriving Monday night in Beit Amra and arresting Adais.
